Bakery ordered to cease meals dealing with, getting ready, cooking in 44-page inspection

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – In response to a 44-page report, inspectors with the Florida Division of Agriculture and Shopper Companies have been at southwest Miami-Dade’s Caliz Cake Design Monday and ordered the operation to come back to a halt till “affected areas are fully cleared of merchandise, cleaned and sanitized.”

The bakery is situated at 15588 SW 72nd Avenue in West Kendall.

A re-inspection is required on account of a roach problem.

A “Cease-Use” order was issued on the meals service space, processing/kitchen space, slushie maker, cake chilly unit, desserts chilly unit, ice machine, orange juice machine, soda chilly unit, espresso machine, espresso grinder, espresso machine, sandwich preparation unit, blender, sandwich press, dry baked items show case, sizzling case, microwave, ice cream reach-in freezer, dough sheeter, standing oven, ground mixer, desk mixer, walk-in cooler, tabletop mixer, cake ornament room, deli slicer, range/oven, griddle/grill, and the deep fryer.

“The affected storage areas should be fully cleared of all merchandise, cleaned and sanitized by the subsequent inspection; no different merchandise could also be added to the storage space or a Damaged Cease-use will probably be issued. If proof of pest infestation is noticed on the subsequent inspection, a Cease-Use Order will probably be issued on all receiving areas of the institution and the institution will now not be allowed to obtain extra meals objects, a Cease-Use Order of all processing gear (if relevant) will probably be issued and a Cease-Sale Order of all uncovered meals objects (if relevant) will probably be issued till the infestation is eradicated.”
